Audience Research - Questionnaire Results

In order to gain some knowledge on the audience of local newspapers I created a questionnaire so that i could hand it out to 10 people to gain opinions on local newspapers.

As most of the respondents answered that Images are what first attracts them to a local newspaper I will incorporate some images related to the Articles which will be related to the local town and eye catching colours.

As most of the respondents answered that they would like to buy/receive a local newspaper on a weekly basis and so I will take this into consideration when creating the local newspaper.

As most of the respondents answered that news articles are what attract them to local newspapers and so I will use news articles more than any other in order to relate to the questionnaire results.

As most of the respondents answered that they would 

like music information to be included in local newspapers 

I will incorporate local music information such as shows.

As most of the respondents answered that they prefer Hextabulletin as the name for the local newspaper i will be using this as the name.

From my research I have noticed that most local newspapers include offers, logo, awards and links and so throughout these initial ideas i have included these so that my local newspaper seems more like a local newspaper.

Both of these initial ideas have many aspects which I have seen in local newspapers from my research and so I have incorporated them in these initial ideas to make my local newspaper look more like a local newspaper these being  a logo, colour scheme, local business adverts, links to the newspapers website and images related to the articles included.

This is the first initial idea for my newspaper. The front cover has many things that I have seen from my local newspaper research such as local business adverts, articles written in columns and links to the newspapers website.

Brief
